Has anyone got any tips for what seat to book please? Friend is going in july and wants to prebook seat without booking extra legroom and he prefers a window seat.

They usually have the last 4 or so rows blocked off so you cant pre book them, but on many Manchester flights, after booking the last available row, the ones behind have not been filled and we have been able to move back a bit and spread out. around row 36 is the last available but it goes up to 40 41 ish I think. Assuming the demand is similar as before it will only be a 737 airplane, so 3 and 3 seat formation

Any, just try to make certain that you are not sat in front of a whining, :x whinging six foot bag of lard that insists that the reclining function of your seat is a design fault so should never be used.

Seat guru is a useful website for finding out about plane layouts, seat pitch etc. It may not have Egyptair listed on the airline list but it will give the plane model as listed so you can make a fairly accurate decision from that information.

I always book an aisle seat, as far back as possible, as this gives the best chance of moving to a free row if one is available even further back.

Well you are half way there Brian, but in view of the fact that the chances of me coming to Egypt in the future seem slim, I'll let you into the full secret that only one other person on this forum I've made aware of up to now, and she seems to travel first class these days.

When getting the boarding-pass, state that you want a seat at the back of the plane, when all the rabble stand around getting on the thing, sit back until every one gets on, so that in fact YOU are the last on the plane. Then as you walk down that plane and they are all looking at you as though they have been delayed as a result of your arrival, you know full well that all the empty seating area is yours for the picking. In most cases in the past I've been able to obtain a full length bed.

Perhaps, it may have been you Brian who gave me an annoying look, once the 'bing-bong' seat belt release signal was given, as I spread out to relax over four seats,...........happy days. :wi :wi :wi :wi .
