UK police appeal for information on teen ‘missing in Egypt’

Post by DJKeefy »

The UK’s Metropolitan Police appealed Monday for information on the whereabouts of 16 year-old Beatrice Anita Phillips and her 23 year-old brother, Moses, who is believed to have taken her to Egypt without permission.

Beatrice suffers from bi-polar; a psychological disorder that affects moods, and regular medication is required to regulate the condition.

The pair was last seen by their mother on 24 April at 10am at their home in Isleworth in the London Borough of Hounslow. She reported her daughter missing at 9pm on the same day. Moses sent a text message to his mother after 9pm, informing her that he and Beatrice had travelled to Cairo, according to the Metropolitan Police appeal.

Beatrice, who was 15 when she went missing, made a telephone call to her mother the following day, but neither she nor Moses has been heard from since.

Hounslow Criminal Investigation Department are treating the case as a missing person’s enquiry and have contacted the Egyptian authorities as part of the investigation.

Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Pearce said: “We would like to appeal to anyone who may have any information – no matter how small – about Beatrice and Moses and their current whereabouts.”

Pearce said there is particular concern about Beatrice due to her condition and that she “does not have with her, or access to medication she needs to stay well”.

“The whole family is distraught and desperate to hear from them or hear from anyone in the UK or in Egypt who can shed any light on where they could be,” continued Pearce. She added that Moses took his sister without permission and that it is not clear why he took her with him.

Pearce appealed directly to Moses and Beatrice to get in touch with Metropolitan Police or to contact the Egyptian authorities.

I reckon Beatrice will fit in nicely round here, bi-polar psychological disorder sounds normal..
