Radio button

As the BBC no longer supports this service in the Windows media format, please could you either remove the button or link it to a supported service?

I see that other stations are still supported - e.g. Quran radio, so refining the button may be in order.

Thanks. I'll see if I can get the cricket in the morning.

I am sorry Brian but since BBC have moved their streaming service to new players not compatible with the forum, I have removed the radio.

The best site (I think) for listening to live streaming radio from all over the world is Streema go try it out (also available on android and IOS) http://streema.com/

Thanks for trying. I assume that we have also lost Qoran radio. Not that I ever listened to it apart from when I checked that it worked.

BBC sports, on radio and tv, seem to be quite highly restricted. A VPN such as Hotspot Shield does not help.

I will try out Streema soon. Thanks for the suggestion.

Quick update: using a VPN (Hotspot Shield) I was able to connect to BBC 4 LW this morning using Streema and listen to some of the cricket. Unfortunately I kept getting cut off, presumably by lack of band width. This was both on free wifi and on my Vodafone data package.

If anybody knows a more reliable way to connect please let me know, but at least I have made some progress.

That is one that I have already tried, and discarded. For the cricket I need Radio 4 LW.

Radio 5 live sports extra won't get through a VPN when there is UK-only broadcast on. :-(
