Another Legend Has Died -

Post by hatusu »

- Chuck Berry has died aged 90. One of the great musicians of our time. He was such a large part of my childhood and teenage years (and every decade since then), and I doubt that there were many (if any) aspiring rock groups that didnt start out playing Chuck Berry songs. My first Beatles and Stones LPs that I bought all contained his songs. For me he's up there with Elvis - not quite as sexy as Elvis, but Elvis didnt compose. Im still dancing to his songs, and an empty dance floor anywhere in the world is almost certain to get people on their feet once his music starts playing.

The restraint of the Johnny Be Good audience is amazing! How can their feet not be a tappin'?

 Only just noticed that Hepzi, maybe it was being recorded and the audience were told to keep quiet, having said that the guy in the cardigan and jacket was getting carried away with enthusiastic clapping  I think it was my granddad :sd
