Top 20 TV comedies of all time
Fawlty Towers has made it to No 1 in a list of “Top 20 TV Comedies of all time”. Totally agree with it being No 1, but why was ”Only Fools and Horses” ranked No 6? My biggest complaint however is “One Foot in the Grave” not making the list at all!
All 3 of these comedies still make me laugh out loud every time I watch them (and I DO watch them over and over again having bought the DVDs)

Strangely I never watched any of them. Just did not interest me at all.
I did enjoy Yes Minister from time to time. Nothing has changed in the real world of British politics in all these years!

Re: Top 20 TV comedies of all time
If the top twenty is based on what The Radio Times states then it's all BBC comedies. However The Two Ronnies and Morecambe and Wise get my vote.
I must be getting old because I don't find any of today's comedians funny in the least. Most are vulgar and don't last long.

I loved Fawlty Towers, shame it only ran for one season.
Political correctness killed comedy and as for vulgarity, its all about the intent really.
Being vulgar for the sake of it and using profanities in the same way, I agree will not substitute wit.
Best comedy act's these days are the Politico and the press... And the snowflake generation....

Couldn't stand Morecambe and Wise not my kind of comedy much preferred to watch the likes of Billy Connelly and Dave Allen.

Loved Vic Meldrew, a lot like myself! Could never understand Fawlty Towers or Python, the humour was even in them days for younger people than myself...
