I reckon that most supermarkets have a good range of very acceptible wines that do not cost the earth, currently Tesco are knocking out some excellent South African Merlot and Shiraz wines at a fiver (usually £10) and one of the best Australian 'Yellow Tail' Merlot is around £6, so you dont need to pay an arm and a leg to get good wines if you know what you are looking for. :up
