Laandaan it's 5 star...

Post by Who2 » Wed Apr 17, 2019 3:10 pm

Well back on the manor, things change and don't change but as mad as ever..
Her indoors who's becoming British in two weeks time has the major coming to induct her,
It's In the town hall, she's organising it all, I said "let's invite Jeremy, 'he's local and on his holiday's at present,
a feel-good photo opportunity for him, 'I thought! She didn't go for it,
'but I'm not giving up on this bit of fun just yet...
She bought a new cooker £550 quid had it delivered yesterday, I live on the top floor, the old one only '8 months old £180 quid, they said it leaked & topped off the gas outlet , jump forward 3 months I said "Why didn't you complain ?
She can't cook anyway and has a microwave and anyhow it's restaurant central round here.
Last night we dined in our fav Le Petite Ferme surround by people all talking French pretty 'mental 'whist I was trying to remember french 'les miserables mon enfant....mind you no one was in tears..actually everyone was quite 'jolie!.

Anyhow it took me 2 day's to get here and this is only the 2nd day. (I missed the 1st plane)
I'll need a holiday in 3 weeks She's got the 'transylvanian clan flying in from all over,
it's going to be a bloody affair.
And She's still doesn't know what "a Sav to go is" or knows about The Rocky Horror Show.
Least her Mother's not coming, ''''She's 'raving maad..
Turns out I have both films listed The Hunch Back of Notre Dame and RHShow trouble is they are back in Eggwipe.
TBC...... 8)
Ps: Iv'e not heard anybody yet mention "brexit" on the street yet, french word isn'it ?
"Wag the Dog" deflect & redirect 'Maggie was good at that but Notre Dame ? what ever next ?
What did happen to 'Jules et Jim ? and all those yellow jackets,
Now people in London are sticking themselves to Tube Trains "mental eh ?
and they say 'I'm 'mad! "The Bells the Bells"

In your Gallery or in the Gallery Albums click on the title of the image which will open another page, copy the Image BBCode: (Example below) and paste that into your post.

TIP: If you are adding a few photos it might be easier to open the GALLERY in a new tab.

Code: Select all

[album]15350[/album]

If you just want to add a few images (up to 5) and do not care about them being shown in your album then just use the attachment option like you have done in your post above, however once uploaded you need to click on the PLACE INLINE button for each photo, then it wont clump all your photos together at the end of your post (I edited your post to place them inline) :)

To add an image from the Gallery.
1. Click on the image TITLE and not on the image itself.
2. In the next window that appears look to where you will see 3 boxes, one of them (the middle one) will have the BBcode in the box.
3. 'Copy' the BBcode
4. Go back to your post and just 'Paste' it into the text window.
TIP: it will help if you have 2 versions of L4U open and reduce the windows so that you can see both at the same time. Open the Gallery in one window and your posts in the other, that way you can just keep switching between the two by clicking on the tab at the top of each window, that way one will be active and visible and the other will not be.

Edit: Looks like Keefy beat me to it.

And don't forget there is an easy way if its just a couple of images (up to 5)
1. Make sure you are in 'Full Editor' (below the text box).
2. Just 'Drag & Drop' your chosen image/images from wherever you stored them, straight into the text box and it/they will appear in 'preview' and in your post. :up

Bloody cancer, its been 34 years to the day since my Mum died of breast cancer..
Perhaps its to do with Milk ? Who knows ? But those lactose intolerant Chinese people dont seem to to suffer the same fate..

This Easter has been as good as far as the weather is concerned as the Easter weekend of 1984 that my Mum died, ironically being a devout Christian dies on Easter Monday, in a way, Physical death is a form of resurrection or homecoming...

While on the religious front, that Cathedral burned down, and everyone gets upset, despite Le Frogs spending 300 years trying to rid themselves of catholic rule, and then they realise they have not got any trees big enough to recreate the roof timbers..
Well perhaps thats because their Oak forests are all on the floor of the English channel after the Pope ( probably NOT a Catholic ) set the French and Spanish against the English after Henry the 8th did his thing.

Oh and all the outpouring of sympathy for that cathedral and promise of lots of money to rebuild it by big corporations and individuals, yet no one died... Where where those big corporations and individuals when Grenfell towers caught fire killing many ?

Maybe you can buy a ticket to heaven ? perhaps they have corporate discounts...

Brexit has been delayed to October, so that buggers up Halloween.... Maybe Guy Fawkes can be resurrected
and he can finish what he started... :D

probably not though, Its a one way ticket...

Anyway, enough doom and gloom, Life on earth was never meant to be that way..

I Hope the weather remains good for you Doc', :up Britain is truly great when the weather is so good, and this is my favorite time of year when nature is coming back to life and the promise of longer warmer days is being fulfilled...
Waking up to the sound of birdsong and sunlighlight... Gotta love it... :lv
A pint outside is the best pint, especially since the smoking ban, saves having to get up out of your seat... :cg
People watching is one of my favourite past times too.. Where do they come from ? where do they go ?

Have a great Time... 8)

I share your loss John Landon, this lovely time of year when we have the promise of new life and regeneration to look forward to always seems a little incongruous with the idea of death. Six years ago this week my dear wife died suddenly, no illness, no warning, just a sudden end, so although I love this time of year, it is my favourite, it always has been with all the various shades of green in the hedgerows and the trees, the Bluebells and wild flowers bursting forth in the woodlands and fields, it is now tinged with a feeling of sadness, but it will pass.

Thank You Carrie, but life is a lesson, The irony of life.. Earths cry, heavens smile...

Forgot to mention, but did you know that 50% of the entire world's Bluebell population exists in the UK. ? :up

I am not surprised by that, at the moment everywhere I walk in old deciduous woodland they are full of Bluebells. This year in particular they seem to be a much deeper blue, some years the colour can look a bit washed out, they have not yet opened enough to release their scent which is fantastic for about 2 weeks or so. At the moment the woods are full of the smell of wild garlic, who2 would be busy making salads and stews if he were here. ;)
