News on the Grapevine reaches me that a new Supermarket - 2nd branch in Luxor of KZ/Kheir Ziaem (sp?) - on Station Street (hmm well... actually described as 'the street that runs from the Station to Luxor Temple/Hagag Square).
I'm sure those of you that live in Luxor must be over the moon and struggling to contain your excitement.
Happy shopping folks.

I have missed a supermarket in that area. The few items that I sometimes buy on that side are not enough for me to go my good old neighbourhood, unless I get sentimental.
I'll check it out next time I cross the river.

Well, it is rather small and does not offer much that I cannot get on West Bank, but it is nice to know that it is there.
As it is brand new, it appears exceptionally clean and neat, which in itself is an experience, and the friendly staff is very welcoming.
Coming from Abu el Hagag Square, you will find it on the right hand side of Station Street.

Thanks Bennu. It's good to get information from someone with first hand experience.
