I don't work, all my income comes from the UK, all my income is spent here amongst the Egyptian population, very rarely do I frequent European run establishments. I don't cause problems, I live quietly if everyone like me was asked to leave then Luxor would be much poorer than it already is.
No it wouldn't Carrie.
It would just carry on as normal.
Do you really think that your income and expenditure makes such a difference?
It doesn't!
It needs the "big spenders"the tourists with money to burn! The ones who have saved up and have a disposable income to spend on a holiday!Big bucks in a limited timescale.
Whilst I admire your honesty and faith in what you are contributing to Egyptian economy..you're really contributing no more than the Egyptian people do!

Must be a multiple-entry tourist visa. Anything else would not need to say it was multiple-entry, they just are by default (as long as you don't stay abroad longer than 6 months).

I'm not saying foreigners should leave. I'm just saying they should get visas that are appropriate to their status.

Sorry GD to be clear the Visa stands alone and then another stamp paid for separately for multiple entries.
It is what it is.

As I said, nothing but a tourist visa needs multiple entry to be explicitly specified, because residence visas do not have any restrictions on the number of entries you can make on them.

True friends are indeed a blessing, and it's important to acknowledge that. So many people would just take the help offered and walk away without a backwards glance afterwards or a thought as to how hurtful that would be.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure...

If you are ever desperate enough to return to St Helens, then you are welcome should the occasion arise. I am in the process of making plans to leave Luxor, return to my old life for a few years while things settle down. When I return to Luxor on Thursday it will be with the intention to start wrapping up my Egyptian adventure for the time being. Should you still consider this part of the country your home, then come on over!
If I'm ever kicked out I will be there. St. Helens area can not be beaten for hospitality and friendliness. :up That is not to say that you need pay a visit to B&Q for a full toolbox in readiness.

But p.s...I'll refuse any offers of marriage..I just really need a handyman who will fix all those annoying little problems I got with this house..roofing,redecorating,plumbing,electrics,etc,etc.

So..in words of the "Drifters"...come on over to my place!
Scotland's OK, plenty to see and do, but the midge's are a nightmare.

A quick tot up, since I have lived here I have parted with approximately 1.4 million Le. directly into the local economy. I think that that warrants at least recognition by way of a five year visa. :up And the guarantee of no water sports. :stp

There's something rather ironic about expats, who generally complain about being ripped off and having resentment about being seen as money bags, viewing their contributions to Egypt in monetary terms only. But if the cap fits...
