There are many parties going on here too, from Hairdressing Salons putting on drinks and food to street parties and taverna's/bars bringing in big screens and entertainment. We are going to a beach party, with Soul and Blues.

There's enough crap on the TV over here without adding more to it. I would rather eat my own deep fried nuts.

I must agree, Westminster will never be the same again, I bet that shook them all up. That bible belt preacher took over the show, thought I was listening to Billy Graham, bye bye pageantry.

Agreed! What was he doing preaching to the converted or those who have no idea what love is? Far too long. I bet Philip didn't enjoy that one bit.

I hope you all stood to attention at the National Anthem :)

I hadn't intended to watch, but I'm so glad I did.

I really thought I was 'over' the whole Royal Wedding even before it took place but I am so glad that I decided to watch it. It was beautiful, refreshing, uplifting, and yes... emotional too.
Let's hope that they have a long and happy life together.

I also thought that Meghan Merkal's mother was to be admired. She was alone, sitting in a strange building in a foreign land. Not only that she was sitting opposite a large family of probably the most famous royals in the world. Not an enviable position. At a doubtless emotional time, when you could probably do with someone to just pass a proud moment with, she coped incredibly well.

I agree Hepzi and to be fair to him Charles did make an effort to walk with her when he could.

I agree that the "sermon" was a bit cringeworthy.

Still....perhaps we had to make some concessions to an American bride.

Now she can forget all about her colonial origins and join the royals as our very first Duchess of Sussex!

At the end yes. I just felt she needed a 'buddy', be they a friend or an appointed one like a lady in waiting. Of course, it may have been her choice to go it alone, there not being a natural choice of companion/escort.

I disagree. It was clearly a bit of a shock to most gathered in St. George's Chapel, but it was totally appropriate and a refreshing change from all the sterile stuffy ones that have been given at past Royal Weddings.

He did go on a bit though Hepzi, I got bored listening and changed the bedding instead, a good job most of them had big hats on as I noticed lots of bowed heads and it was not in devotion.

I thought he was a breath of badly needed fresh air. It was a message the world needs right now. Meghan loved it, which is all that matters. I would have thought the royals' manners would have been better than to be noticeably smirking.

Wasn't the cello player wonderful!
