Do they know about the electricity cuts and crappy internet reliability. Also the work force which always takes excess time off for funerals, weddings and rests! So many international companies have tried to prevail and eventually walked away shaking their heads.

Surprises me that they reckon there’s a good market for e-commerce in upper Egypt. Apart from the points you mention Egypt wouldn’t be on my agenda as a place one could rely on anything arriving intact and on time...or indeed at all!

No chance.

The authorities are paranoid about the possibility of surveillance by anything aerial....even kites.

Having drones buzzing about carrying God-knows-what would be their worst nightmare

So true. I did some aerial photography for some of the Egyptology missions back around 2010 - 2012. We had to jump through all sorts of hoops to get permissions for each job. By 2013 (time of Morsi) I was advised it was best to stop completely. Something to do with MB using drones for some reasons.
