Only every other Friday Aysha?

When I was younger (a lot younger I must add!!), I'd do all that, spend Saturday shopping with girlfriends and then go out in the evening and do it all over again!!

Life is for living - enjoy every second :)

Edited to add that my weekends most certainly didn't involve this bit though:
BUT when the night is over you are getting out the cab with you hair in a mess bare foot and so drunk you cant tell the differance between a human and a lampost LOL
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure...

Don't marry the Egyptian. If you come home Saturday morning looking like that I bet he will make your face look a lot worse than it does now.

Good Grief. You must have a very low tolerant for alcohol then or a lot more money than I do.   Although I have seen my sons in law pay $12 for a specialty drink at restaurants, I have other things I'd rather spend my money on so sweet tea works just fine. And if I'm buying dinner, they all know they have to buy their own drinks.

There is a funky little bar/restaurant downtown my bff Betty and I like to go to. One night we were there for dinner and listening to the band. The big round table next to us was filled with young gals who were ordering round after round of jager bombs (YUK!). I noticed Betty, who only drinks a glass of wine now and then, staring at them. She suddenly turned to me and said "I can't BELIEVE how much they are drinking!" To wit I replied, "Betty! This is a BAR! What did you expect?"

Well i'm 40 and still love a good girly night out starting off with a few glasses of wine whilst getting ready and quite a few more drinks of all sorts as the night progresses.
Unfortunately though now, I do not get away without the hangovers. When I wqs younger, I could drink what I wanted and be fine the next day and unfortunately no longer can.
Enjoy whilst you can Aysha. I just wish I could afford to do it more often.

I'm younger than you and in a word - no, LOL.
I spend a lot of time in Paris, and I rarely see girls my age and under 30's getting so "off their faces", and whenever I come back after a long period there, it just appalls me everytime I see women (and men) binge drinking to the point where they're in the state you've mentioned LOL. I can think of better and classier ways of behaving and enjoying myself LOL. (I'll stop with the unnecessary and annoying LOLs.)

I subscribe to the tagline of this advert.

Certainly not. There is an ad on TV at the moment relating to just that, not my idea of a night out at any time. ...EB

Gosh how old are you Aysha, I stopped doing that in my teens. We used to spend all afternoon in front the the mirror go to the youth club ans try and buy cider at the offy. I think I stopped when I got to 18/19.

My idea of a good night out with the girls from then on was dinner parties. I had this group of girl friends that met on a holiday to Egypt in 1979. We used to meet up about every month. We would take turns doing something cultural generally in London and having dinner at each others houses. I got to see all sorts of exhibitions, museums and even have tea at the Ritz. And the meals we would cook for each other, One time I persuaded one lady who was Scottish to do a proper high tea. Herrings in oatmeal and everything, I still use her scotch pancake recipe. That was one time we didin't have wine  I did a Chinese meal once in my little flat in Godalming. Gosh it takes me back.

I love nights out :D But usually went out with guys. That's one thing I miss from Finland :( There are places in Cairo too and my hubby to go with (gladly) but it's just not the same...
