Strange behaviour

Post by thomoll »

My cat has been behaving very strangely today, particularly since late afternoon. He has been miaowing for no reason, going out then wanting to come in, skulking under the dining table ( he never does that), and just well, being 'odd' really. Could it have anything to do with these meteors?

[face=Comic Sans MS]Highly likely I would have thought. Cat's are so 'tuned in' to even minor changes in weather etc so that something like tonights meteor shower is supposed to be must be quite disturbing to them.[/face]

Animals can sense earthquakes, so why not meteor showers :)
PS my cat always behaves strangely, all the time.

Because the meteor shower is several hundred thousand miles away! Maybe it is just a change in the weather.
I might agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong!

More probably another cat in the garden, my poor old cat (19.5years old) still likes to hiss at other cats, but I think would run a mile if he met one

If he carries on doing it I would have him checked out at the vets, perhaps he's not feeling too good. One of my cats behaves a little like this when he's not feeling well.
when she was good she was very very good but when she was bad she was better :snig:

He seems OK today, but if it happens again, off to the vets we'll go!

Now he's getting old it's difficult to tell if he's not well, or just plain old. He definitely sleeps a lot more now.
