Angels and Chips.
I'd not been feeling to well over the previous couple of days, I'd developed a touch of Gastritis, and my poor old Arthritic legs were playing me up again. I decided to take to my bed for the duration. A close Egyptian friend of mine, along with his wife and two of their young children had popped in with some groceries for me, and to make sure I was alright before they left on their four day round trip to Cairo.
I was gently awakened a few hours later by the eldest child, a three and a half year old boy, and his two and a half year old sister. They were sitting on my bed asking me in low sweet voices to get up and make them some chips. I told them I wasn't feeling too well, so the little boy bent over to kiss me better, as he had seen his mother do when both he and his two younger sisters were sick. This was followed by a second kiss from the little girl. "There you are" said the little boy, in Arabic, "Now we've kissed you better, you can get up and make us some chips". I can tell you, my heart melted faster then the oil in the chip pan. What are children like? I'll never think of chips in the same way again. Needless to say, they got their pan chips.

Re: Angels and Chips.
Children at that age, with their uncompromising innocence, have the uncanny knack at times to heal without thought.
