Part 3 some Free Arabic Links.

Post by Hafiz »

The justifiable rules of the site regarding posting restrict links so I have had to post these useful links in a seperate post.

If you are interested in Arabic/regional poetry.

A well regarded anthology of modern Arabic poetry in very good translations.

A very good data base of modern Arabic (broadly defined) poetry with a small number translated –

Links are fine Hafiz, all that is asked is that people add some information regarding the link you are posting, only posts containing just a link and nothing else are not allowed. :)

Horus thanks. I wasn't complaining - your rules and practice have always been better than fine by me. If I understand you correctly the posting of 'summary' reference links that are not connected to a specific narrative are 'a problem'. If so I will know what to do in the future.

Thanks - as always.

Yes basically we want to avoid having threads that are solelycomprised of just a link to a URL with little or no information to say what the link is all about, so a short precis lets members decide if or not they wish to follow the link or not.

So posting something like:
"Here are a few examples to support my theories on the Khufu Pyramid"
URL ???????
URL ???????
Would be fine.

Or
"The following is a link to the new VOK excavation by Kent Weeks"
URL ???????

Both examples give an indication of what the link contains, we have had in the past posts like "This is interesting" accompanied by a URL which really tells the reader nothing and even worse just the URL with no comment at all. :tk
