An old friend from EgyptAir at their west London office rang me this morning to tell me that any one who has loads of their airmiles, and have not used EgyptAir in the past 18 months will loose all of the airmiles if they do not use them by the end of this month, (January).
There are very few 'X' seats as they are known on each flight where these can be used, so you will have to book the seat well in advance, also note that you still have to pay taxes, so a return flight into the UK will be high, but to other places, I am sure will be much less.

Re: EgyptAir re-evaluates its air miles.
Singapore Air did this to me with four years worth of points when I had had to fly to Egypt a few times with Emirates. Not my fault if SA don't have departures every day of the week, so I cannot use them the day I want to leave. I would have preferred to take their cheaper flights but...
