Last night, I went out for a farewell meal for my Brother in law, who came to visit us for a week form the Isle of Man. My Wife and 2 sons also came with us.
We went to a country pub, had a lovely meal and then I went out into the car park for a ciggie..

a few minutes later, a young man, high as a kite and boozed up to the eyeballs decided I needed some of his special attention.
He was bigger than me, and came face to face with me, I could smell the alcohol on his breath he was that close.

calmly, I put out my hand and gently but firmly moved him back to arms length, I kept calm and in control, my heart didnt even beat any faster.
in my mind, I had already decided where I was going to strike, and another move with my leg to take him down, but at the same time hoped that it would not be necessary..
The standoff lasted about 30 seconds, and he left..
