The Egyptians' sense of smell...

Post by Who2 »

Sitting on my roof waiting for the arrival of the great artist 'Picasso Tieb, & pondering! as you do..
Now' I admire many qualities of the egyptian, one is their memory & recall the other is their great sense of smell. Both underused by westerners.
So girls' what's your views on egyptians and their sense of smell ?
And remember! most eastern countries find us 'whitey's to smell like wet-dogs or dairy products..
quote: some Korean blogger. "I'm not saying that all white people smell dirty, and I'm not saying that those that do smell bad because they don't wash. But, I shower every day ...
Yeh! well, so do I probably 10 times a day in the summer, but he is missing the point, old white people smell different, don't they ?
Anyhow back to the roof, just pondering......Gaijins.....

White man hides his scent with perfume and cologne.. Western diet does not help either..

I asked my mate why he married his girlfriend. he replied. "because she smells right" . :cg

Hmmm, interesting.. Why ?

people give off different scents depending on their mood, then these scents could make a good subliminal disguise of one's true intent ?.

The sense of smell is fasinating.

If I smell something I have not smelled in a long time, I have perfect recall of where and when I first encountered that smell.

If I see or hear things from the past, I have to dig into my memories and remember them..

Well my T'Other half does'nt seem to be in poccession of this sense of smell! I am always saying that I can "smell something" he always replies "They are probably burning some fields" (To every thing I smell, cooking, perfume, donkey poo!!!!)
One night tucked up in bed I uttered the famous words "I can smell burning, hot wires or rubber!" The usual words came from under the duvet "They are burning the fields" (At 2 in the morning this is) So out I get and starting routing through the flat.......Opened the kitchen door just as all the power went off with a bang! And there was the culprit, our kitcher water boiler was slowly glowing ever more bright with burning wires dripping rubbery stuff down on the plastic drainer. So shut the switch off, chucked melting drainer into cold water, and with that Himself wandered into kitchen, rubbing his sleepydusted eyes and said "NOW YOUVE DONE THAT ARE YOU COMING BACK TO BED????" I said "We could have been fried in our Jim jams!!" His reply "Well all the burning fields we get around here must have ruined my smelling!!!" Then 2 seconds later " ooooh I can smell someone cooking, lets have some marmite toast!!!"

BM, that's because the olfactory memory is your strongest. I smell a certain shampoo and I am in a pink and white tiled shower in Singapore! My friend in Singapore says Aussies smell of lamb (meat) to them!
