Hi all from Spugy

Post by Spugy »

First I'd like to say sorry for not saying hi first, i saw a topic i had to give some input to and did. So anyway I'm 23 male live in the UK and I'm Tobyjug's son.

In case anyone is wondering how to pronounce my name I'll see if i can clear it up, and explain how i came up with such a name.

It's pronounced (sp) as in (sp) spell, (ug) as in what cave men say, followed by a y simple..... er kind of.

I got the name one day when i was doing a field walk whilst i was going an agricultural course is essex in the south of England. I spotted a sparrow in a tree and pointed it out, however the northern word for a sparrow is a Spugy, and non of the others in the group knew this and thought i was a little nuts so from then on i got called Spugy.

I hope that was help full is some way as a lot of the time i seem to make little sense even to myself :)

I have an interest in motorbikes, Gliding, and I'm thinking of having a go at Archery soon too.

[face=Comic Sans MS]Hi Spugy and welcome. Guessed you must be Tobyjug's son when I read your post in Suggestions - that and the fact you 'appear' to be in the Netherlands too!

Oh! as a matter of interest, what part of the north refers to sparrows as Spugy? [/face]

[face=Comic Sans MS]Well at a guess you are using the same computer as Tobyjug and were sure the flag id will be rectified once DJKeefy is able to get on and stay on line! :) [/face]

Hi again, Spugy....Tks for all the info. Tis about time we had somebody young on here....sick and tired of being on my own!!!!

Making little sense is GOOD!.......A few of the old sods try to come the learn-ed bit....but the rest of us ignore 'em.

I too like riding, gliding about, but shot my bolt ages ago!. ...BTW, I'm the one who looks like Brad....you-know-who........(This'll get 'em going, you watch!!)

Well funny enough Dabs it just so happens my sir name is actually Pitt lol
John Pitt

You know I'm not too shocked there is an overabundance of older people on this forum i think luxor is more attractive to the older/ intellectuals I think luxor is a better place for people who want a real taste of Egypt rather than the touristy places like sharm.

And you are quite right about Lux being for people who want a real taste of Egypt. Sit long enough in Sinbads and you'll hear some of 'em describing it......and I ain't talking temples, either!!!
