I will delete any more posts that break our rules and possibly BAN you.
tell me if this is true then? short version; your acquaintance (NAME REMOVED) was involved in an motorcycle accident; 2 boys forced him to crash the motorcycle he was riding; the boys were angry he had sex with some younger boys from their family and he did not pay them; they stole (NAME REMOVED) mobile phone; you caused a very big problem in the village and recovered brians mobile phone; a few weeks later the police arrived at your villa looking for (NAME REMOVED) to arrest him over allegations made by the village; apparently he had gone back to the uk via hurghada; the police warned you to stop causing trouble otherwise they would remove you from egypt; when your visa was due they waited for two weeks to make the visa over the 10 day grace period; then refused you a visa and stamped an overstayed stamp in your passport; you were escorted to cairo and put on a plane back to the UK
maybe you can thank your lucky stars // divine intervention that you did leave egypt; the hospital in the UK found a blood clot in your leg due to the plaster cast fitting from your broken knee cap; we heard that you might have died within 7 days; you lost everything due to helping some expat; what a shame you were a good guy

The information wrote about me was 100% correct and I believe this could have only come from 1 person, however some people I have spoke to believes it is someone else.

Since the information is out i might as well dispell the other myths that was circulating, I was never handcuffed and thrown in a jail, I was told i had to leave cause i overstayed my visa (not going out of Egypt in 13 years) there was not a plane for another week in Luxor so i was transported to Cairo, I had to stay in a holding room with other people who were having visas etc checked out, the place were better than some 3* hotels i have seen in Egypt, nice beds with mattresses, settees, huge widescreen tv, food, tea and coffee and then another huge room with showers, toilets etc, all immaculate clean, I have joked i could have stopped there a week

I personaly believe I was one of the first that had to leave Egypt when all this situation with the visas started, I think they did not know really what to do, so they held me in the reception of the police station (Luxor) till a plane was available, the immigration told me i could come back, but since coming back to the UK i have heard many stories that i cant go back, all which are unfounded.

Yes I miss my friends and the Egyptian family I had, yet most of you on here knew that by Xmas time I was going to leave, the place is not the same as in Mubarak times, it has changed big times and not for the good. I would like to come back for a holiday yet i dont trust Egypt 1 bit now.
I was lucky, the hospital in the UK actualy said within 3 to 7 days i could have been dead if the blood clot in my leg was not spotted and treated, the plaster was not due off for a few weeks more, so it would not have been spotted.

If anyone wants to know anything they can just ask :)

That's frightening about the blood clot. Where did you have the plaster cast put on? At the international Hospital?

No one should have to prove themselves on the forum or give out personal information. For people to put pressure on people is also a no go area, have your fun yes, but going too far is something beyond comprehension. You should not have been forced to have done what you did Keith, it does not matter what other people write, the majority thought it was idle gossip, most had forgot about it. But good for you for allowing those named to be able to take off the information required to do what they want to do.
Now getting back to these visas which is mainly about what is being posted these days, I wonder if it may be best to apply and go through a Lawyer. Just an idea for those who may want to, and are lost in the same Maze as most are.

Darn it, I really believed it when I was told that you had been asked to leave due to the discovery that you had an illegal pig breading program in your apartment and was selling pork on the black market.

Just one query, according to Bombay when this visa thing kicked off, he indicated that anyone with a business over here would be exempt from being asked to leave. So what about L4U property business? I thought that you owned it. Very lucky with the leg diagnosis. :up

Whatever visa he had before, he had overstayed it, which may trump any business licenses one may have. Bombay can probably say more about businesses, but visas and other legal permissions do not necessarily have to be linked.

If you have a work permit, you don't necessarily need to get your visa from your employer, for example, I had a work permit and a marriage visa through my husband, so my employer didn't have to worry about getting me a visa as I already had one. My colleagues who weren't married to Egyptians got both through our employer. Before I got married I had a student visa because I was here with permission to do research for my thesis on a fellowship. While I was still doing my research I got married and switched to a marriage visa, but my research permission continued even though I was no longer on the student visa I had gotten to do research.

You cannot have more than one visa a work permit is a visa. My five years visa work permit comes after three one year one's they are business investment visas not tourist visa. I need a work permit to hold my licences. As for the money Mary and I invested over a million pounds in the Chinese and regal the owner believed he needs half a million in back rent so that still leaves him owning me half million. Any other information ask me to my face or I can pop over to see you as I know who you are Mr.

I didn't say you can have more than one visa at a time, but you can have a visa that is in no way related to your work permit or your research permit, or probably your business permit too. I had a marriage visa and then I got a work permit, which I never actually saw because nothing ever was stamped in my passport related to my job, as my permission to stay in the country was based on my continuing 5 year marriage visa.

One could probably have a business license without having a visa at all. You could own a business, live abroad and have other people run it. Just because you own a business does not necessarily mean you are also working in that business.

Well bravo DJK!You have now gone up in my estimations for telling us all your version of the truth.
That's actually a very brave thing to do,and I for one will not condemn you for it.It's actually quite reassuring to see that you have been honest.
I really didn't write the title post thinking it would degenerate into a "name and shame"venture.
It was just from an observation view.
And,yes,Dusak..I gave a couple of likes..just because those two posters I mentioned have basically made my life hell here on this forum!But..did I give the comment about you a "like?"Nope!
You HAVE been very lucky DJK..once again thank God for our NHS.
I re-iterate..it's a brave thing you did..and I think people will respect you all the more for it.
