Getting Old ..
It’s a bxxxer getting old. Two of the greatest pleasures in my whole life from even pre-school, have been books and music. Well thankfully I can still enjoy music , but my pleasure in books is being eroded – because of my memory. I enjoy a wide range of books but I have to admit my favourites are murder mysteries, both historical and modern. However I find it increasingly difficult now to follow plots if there are too many characters in the books, I just cannot remember who’s who. And you cant have a WhoDunnit with just 3 or 4 characters can you?

Re: Getting Old ..
Don't worry hatusu old age happens to us all. I find I can't even watch some of these psychological police dramas on tv these days because they are so complicated let alone reading a whodunnit book. I'm of the age where I appreciate 'Call the Midwife' or the recent BBC drama about Christine Keeler.
My advice is read a good old Agatha Christie whodunnit. Much more rewarding in my view.
