Re: Smart Phone Question
I did try to offer them back to CPW but they just laughed and told me they were almost antiques. On the upside, using them in places like Egypt and Morocco, I don't get chatted up for my phones and any thief worth his salt would know he'd not make any money on them either.

Re: Smart Phone Question
You don't have a smart phone so sync to Gmail would not work for you. Hey ho, just have a cheap dumb phone for each country Sim (card) not her!Who2 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 26, 2020 1:25 pm Quote: "I do not store any contacts on the sim cards because that is far to complicated if you have to swap a sim. My phone contacts are synchronised to my Gmail email contacts which include all contacts be they Egyptian, French or UK instantly available to recall.
Right, so what your saying is that synchronising to one's Gmail is not complicated, really surely you jest ?...
Ps: I left my sim card in my desk draw back in the shack,
'good, it's great here only 5 people have my new UK number ha!

Re: Smart Phone Question
Good evening.
Thank you so much for the suggestions and help last week.
I'm pleased to say that I was finally able to transfer the contacts from my original SIM card to my phone.
I have had to wait until today for a new SIM card to be delivered so that I could/receive calls and texts, but that is now activated and appears to be working fine. Fingers crossed it stays that way this time.
This, of all times, is not the time to be without telephone contact. Much as I need a lot of time adapting to all that our phones and computers can do for us, I am so thankful that we have so many means of communication in these days of isolation.
