What is this ??

Today at work I came across a weird veg/fruit Iv'e never seen in my life before & nobody else in the building knows what it is either.
Many fruits/vegs pass through my hands everyday to numerous to mention but this 1 beats me.
Its name PATTY PAN its dark green in colour, small with a scallop shape & edges, its pretty looking, but does anybody know if its fruit or veg :idea: & what do you eat along with it

It's a kind of squash, that was all I knew
