By the by - nothing ever came of this project.......COZ........there is NO $$$. As of the last couple of weeks the gov't here on many levels has been hit (not out of the blue and I can't see how they couldn't have expected this) with a pretty 'dark' - ok BLACK - financial forecast. They is going to be an approximately 10% cut across the board in everything soooo something as piddling as making a calendar is a long gone and forgotten endeavour.
It would have been nice to do but - such are the times we're living in here.
Why not make it anyway - take the photos, which will be enjoyable for you and a learning experience, and then make a calendar using Photoshop or some other program? Save the pages at a size like 1024x768 and then put them online. I did a similar thing a few years ago and people enjoyed it - if you explained that you would sell prints of the photos/calendar for £x you could even make money for your charity. Or if you printed them at A4 size, you could put them in a ring binder.
Here's a sample from my calendar
I might agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong!
