We are no greater than the water we drink. We are no greater than the air we breathe. We are no greater than the food we eat and we are no greater than the dirt we walk upon. For without these things, we may not live. Despite the ships we build, the businesses we run, the cars we drive, the clothes we wear, the music we make, the paintings we paint, the words we speak, and the inventions we create.... None of that is possible without the earth below us, the sky above us, the water which nourishes us and the air that gives us life.
We are no greater than what we destroy, for we only destroy, ultimately, ourselves. This we must open our eyes and face. Are we ourselves? Or are we our egos? Which gives us happiness? And which gives us suffering?
The earth, the water, the sky have no ego. Compassion does not require an expectation. And the earth, the water, the sky, never ask for a thank you.
It is up to us to show our gratefulness. It is up to us to show compassion.
It is up to us to awaken.

Yes Brian sadly, unlike the breatharians and certain mystics who survive without food I seem to need to eat (mindfully) to stay alive and continue posting on L4U ...........but eventually when I cease to be I will return to the earth from whence I came........in the meantime I try to be grateful and show compassion as I am alive, and, hopefully awake

So long as you don't take up the cudgels to ban smoking, I am quite happy to accept that vegetarians share this planet, I'll start to plant some carrots in case any pop round for a nibble.....

I'll just stick to my meat and two veg.
I don't smoke, don't drink much alcohol, but don't condemn those that do.
My sympathies to all those veggeis who do not have the privilege of tasting a lovely piece of steak.

Those Veggies probably have tasted steak, trouble was it was probably cooked by a crap Chef and bought from Tesco's, that's why they decide to suck carrots and eat Tofu........

PS: Not forgetting the wonderful 'nut loaf.....

I did, at the age of 2, but my old man had other idea's..
Amazing what people could get away with back then, especially if you were a Doctor..

Not to worry, it does not matter, as all things happen for a reason.
For example, you were sent to try my Patience and my resistence to LOW vibrations..

so I thank You for that..

Try this..

I want to know the fullness of who I am.
So guide me closer in every step today, to a fuller recognition of what I have been asking for, and who I really am..
Not a meaningless mantra, say it with intent and mean it with ALL sincerity..

You can have that one Jewel, hope you find it...

It is often said that just before you die your life flashes before your eyes.
Male chicks are gassed or minced alive at one day old.
That is the sum total of their exsitence.
One short day.
Eyes barely open.
Wondering what it is to come.
Searching for the warmth of a mother that's not there.
Fear, no love, then death. That is their entire life.
Just so you can eat a ******* egg.....
