He sees her
transparent wings.
The number is four-
they stretch back in time.
Like windows and mirrors
for her rainbow body.
She connects us to fire.
With her hundred eyes
fixed on him,
she nods lightly.

Dragonfly Dream (poem)
"One band, two oil barrels, three chords, four dreams, five lies, six ties, seven deadly sins and eight ways to stay alive. They know who you are, they know where you live, they're the Kaizers Orchestra~"

That sounds a bit like part of the formula for Haiku. I'll have to do a search for Ivor Cutler. Tim, do you have any of his work you could post for us please?TIM wrote:.....Mirry, are you aware of the work of Ivor Cutler? Some of your poems, like this one, remind me of his curious epigrams with their mixture of humour and - tension.

it is what you do with what happens to you.

WILD HENS by Ivor Cutler
As the wild hens wheeled and swooped over him, he observed tranquilly the neat way God had screwed in their legs like spark-plugs, then they dived and bore him unresisting and full of curiosity to their great group nest on an aspen, and laid him over thousands of peeping chicks. Fair do's he thought, as their gelatinous beaks bit away his soft life.
