The end of alcohol in Egypt

Safe to say that the only ones who ever brag about their cheap sources of alcohol in Luxor are the ex-pats!
And I've seen plenty making arses of themselves due to their consumation!

The regular tourists who are coming out here over the next two months will notice that a number of the usual old watering holes have closed, and I am informed that others are soon to follow, though restaurants with drinks license are safe,.........................................................................................for now .

As I said over a year ago ALL restaurants aimed at the tourist market will need a Tourist License and you cannot get an alcohol (separate license) without the tourist license. They have finally started to enforce this they want and need the taxes and fees not being paid.... er by some...er by many.
