Travel insurance First Direct

I have read on another forum that First Direct will issue travel insurance for travel during the FCO travel Advisory providing any claim is not as a result of protests.
I do not have any other info so if you need travel Insurance try there.

The way I read my annual insurance ihi-Bupa, I should be covered if not actively involved in demonstrations, but I cannot expect to be evacuated if I ignore an advice before travelling. This is the English version, I cannot find it there, but they do mention risk and war zones:

I have had this annual insurance since 1992, it covers up to two months at a time, and I simply extend it when I am in Luxor for 4-5 months on a tourist visa. I have only used it once when I needed a doctor in Gambia.

You will find that most insurance is not worth a very small scotch and coke, believe me, after all, I am A-four.
