The Ottomans
Last night saw the last of three programmes on BBC2 on the rise and fall of the Ottoman empire. It was narrated by Rageh Omah and was extremely enlightening on the spread of Islam. If any of you have access to BBC2 and/or iPlayer, it is a programme well worth watching. I must admit to a feeling of shame at the end of it, at the British involvement in the fall of the Ottomans.

Re: The Ottomans
Don't be, the British were involved in many falls from grace. Just another day in history.

Why? What has it to do with you? Do you also feel guilt about the fall of Hohenzollern Germany?
