I think it is more to do with the fact that the forum servers are playing up rather than anything you are doing wrong

Re: Logging On
Keefy where are you???
Unfortunately Keefy was rushed to hospital on Friday night early hours of Saturday. Although he was released on Saturday he is still very poorly with extremely high blood pressure and hasn't had a ciggie since Friday. He's been resting away from the computer and has been for a few short walks.

Re: Logging On
Hope you get well soon Keefy. High blood pressure= to much stress in your life, chill out and relax more.
As for the no log on's, had the same problem myself most of yesterday, all other sites were OK. Seems to be back to normal today.
Perhaps it came out in sympathy with the controller.

Get well Soon Keefy..
You should know this, but karkhady is good for lowering the blood pressure ..
Get some in, then when the blood pressure reaches an acceptable level,
spark one up..

Re: Logging On
Thanks for the good wishes I appreciate everyone of them
I accept it's my own fault for what happened, I abused my body, big bottles of fizzy drinks and big bags of crisps everyday, lots of salt on my food, smoking 2 or more boxes of cigarettes each day, no exercise, of course I was on the road to disaster and blood pressure 160/120.
Well It was a wake up call, hopefully I will now look after myself a lot better, I am now on hypertension drugs, check my blood pressure last night and it's down to 136/85, still on the high side but better than the death side of 160/120.
This is day 5 without a cigarette and believe me it's hell, yet I seem to be coping, maybe due to the fact I am amazed how part of my brain (in a split second) can trick me into thinking I am smoking a cigarette or gets me to go look for cigarettes etc., every time I turn on the kettle or finish some food, my brain constantly tells me "Now is the time for a cigarette"
hopefully this will go in time.

Watch this by Alan Carr he got me to stop for 6 months long ago...
Ps: I discovered he lived 10 minutes from my place in Wimbledon, he was not cheap but guaranteed to stop you or your money back.

Re: Logging On
I am surprised health issues do not come up on this site more often for people either visiting or living in Egypt, and especially in Luxor. I have already discovered on one of the sister forums of L4U the vast knowledge of a collection of just a few of us have, with regard for our support for Keefy. Perhaps the Learn Arabic section could be replaced, as no one seems to have a interest in it.
Many years ago now, I learnt that a good friend who visited the King's Valley, downed two bottles of Stella International beer, which he actually bought in the old rest house, believe it or not, it's true, you could buy beer then, this is over 25 years ago, in the same area that is now the visitors centre. I am sure you will agree with me that when I tell you the only tomb he saw was Horumheb's, that was it, I later learnt that he had to be assisted all the way back to the Etap Hotel.
A message got to me on the WB, I immediately rang the hotel and told them to instruct my own doctor to get there, on arrival, he had already seen my friend, and thinking that he was my brother, told me the person was an alcoholic, a hypochondriac, had serious a serious liver complaint, evidently suffered from high blood pressure, and suggested that if he did not change his ways, he had, at most five years to live. All that information for £35.
My dear old friend died three years later, he was 42 years old, so much for the cheap fags, cheap booze, and more recently very cheap quality food, chippies etc.

Re: Logging On
Hi Keefy. I was so sorry to read that you've been ill with sudden raised Blood Pressure, but was very pleased to learn you'd responded well to treatment in the Hospital and are now on the road to recovery. It all must have been a very frightening experience for you, as these things usually are. I do hope your health continues to improve quickly and you will be back to full health very soon.
I have been having computer problems Logging in to some of the Forums on Luxor4u. I've noticed that others have been having problems too. I wonder, when you are feeling up to things, you might take a look at it for me.
Kind regards.

Re: Logging On
Out of genuine curiosity Keefy, what were the symptom's that alerted you to the problem? I have an interest in your answer.
