Re: Egypt puts clocks forward starting Thursday (24 July)
Ok - its been a long hard week and im officially confused.
Someone please explain.
Im looking at a flight from Heathrow 3/10/14 it departs 18.15 and according to Egyptair it lands at 23.59 with a flight time of 4 hours 44 minutes.
It does not add up to me.
From August Egypt will be 3 hours ahead until they put their clocks back on 25/9/14, as uk does not put its clocks back until 25/10/14 uk will be 2 hours behind Egypt so when the plane takes off on 3/10/14 at 18.15 uk time it will be 20.15 in Cairo, if the flight takes 4.44 hours then surely it will be 0.59 in Cairo when I land and not 23.59 as Egyptair are saying?
I have the same confusion on the return flight.
It leaves Luxor at 10.10am local time and takes 5 hours and 40 mins, this being the case then I should land at Heathrow at 1.50pm uk time but the egyptair website is saying 2.50pm?

Egypt will be 3 hours ahead of GMT but as the UK is one hour in front of GMT, Egypt is (or will be) just 2 hours in front of the UK

The girls next door just informed me that Eid is now tomorrow not today, la whaala!
I cleverly asked them the time, that foxed them both...
Ps: interesting point! Aida doesn't posses a clock......

I can tell the time by using the Sun too...
When the sunlight hits my watch, I can read the time...
