Hurghada’s drinking water contaminated,
I always wondered about the huge stacks of water outside the shops, I suppose that what happens if you build a resort around somewhere with no natural water supply….

Well at least you have to look on the bright side, they have given us all the thumbs up as to where the first case ground zero Ebola outbreak will be.

Re: Hurghada’s drinking water contaminated,
Many houses here have UV equipment installed that cleans and clears bacteria from the drinking water. Very cheap and easy to install and simple solution to ensure you always have a safe supply of drinking water.
When I travel I carry a portable unit. It is about the size of a 1 litre bottle and runs on batteries. Simply pour the water into the container, screw on the top which has the UV component, press the button, allow the magic of ultra violet rays to do their work and Voila!! All bacteria gone
Easy peasy and you've got safe clean water. Cheap and easy.
Am surprised Hurghada doesn't have their own UV units and/or even a desalinization plant.

Nobody drinks water from the tap in Hurghada that's why you find stacks and stacks of bottled water outside all the supermarkets.
Still not good.

Yes, very bad planning of the attractions as well, should have built them elsewhere!

Its a good job they are not building Disney world there then. If Micky had died due to contaminated water
, that would of been Yank :army: boots on the ground within days.

Re: Hurghada’s drinking water contaminated,
And remembering all those stacks of bottled water and the sun reminded me of this…
Since BPA exposure remains questionable, you may want to consider only using clear water bottles without BPA. Bottles marked with the recycle codes No. 3 or No. 7 may contain this chemical. Look for the code on the bottom of the bottle. As a general precaution, keep water bottles out of the sun, preferably in a cool place, to keep temperatures lower and prevent the release of BPA from the bottles that contain it.
