Some of our defects are shamefully evident for the world to see ....
Pity the girl with acne scars, a poorly scarred cleft lip operation, dwarfism, morbid obesity, spina Bifida, large breasts, male breasts, extreme myopia requiring thick lenses, albinism, a facial birthmark , but some defects can be hidden such as bi polar syndrome, OCD, color blindness, a bleeding syndrome , gum disease , arthritis in mild forms and allergies
I think the obvious defects are the most damaging .
I was lucky not to have visible defects . I found it easy to get employment and dates. Life is so unfair for so many...
Zooropa are you a Pollyanna type then? The human body is just a meat machine and is fatally flawed it is high maintenance which gets worse as it ages and decays.
No, in fact friends say im too often downbeat.
I brought balance to your view of the human species which I thought to be overly critical, I balanced it up by pointing out the positives.
I must say, for you to consider the pointing out of what this species has achieved as "Pollyanna" like tendencies gives us an insight into your own psyche, I really think you need to speak with someone, im not being nasty or funny, I genuinely think from what ive read in your posts that you have an unhealthy life view which needs addressing.
This is evident by your apparent logic that anything countering your extreme downbeat view as pollyannish.
You must be very unhappy.
With regards to the shamefully evident human imperfections you refer to or to avoid another question regarding being pollyannish, deformities, the same occurs across the animal kingdom.
In regards to having facial blemishes, there are things that can counter that, just look at the Brazilian footballer Ronald's face and then look at his wife!
PS, I hope your chat during the dates was somewhat more upbeat!
