Feeling a bit down. ?

Luxor has both Christian and Moslem communities and the politics of the Middle East are equally diverse. Air your views on the situation.

I have never been a Pollyanna; that's far too black and white, and life isn't. I make what I can from what comes my way and from what I put out there. Like most people I have experienced depressing times and transcending joys. Most of it falls somewhere in between, so I just get on with it, and try when possible to do unto others etc.

I will return to skipping anything you post; there's more than enough doom and gloom foisted upon us elsewhere as it is. Attempting to impersonate a dictionary doesn't hide that you are a sad, sad soul. May you find some sort of peace with yourself and the world one day.

I'd rather have the dark truth than sugar coated lies WI

How many times is it said: "if you don't have anything positive to say then don't bother saying anything at all"

This sentence is classic oppressive BS or "i want to live in my delusions, please be quiet" funny that i never tell optimists that they cant express themselves but what i say is too threatening to their fragile emotions. Also the most important and vital things that needs to be conveyed to change anything or stop suffering would be negative so they're basically saying i dont care if we all suffer as long as my emotions aren't hurt.

Well good 4 u Jewel!
I've disagreed with you and have expressed my opinion on your views.

But..I've never slated you, said you are depressed, ignored your posts or encouraged you to put an end to it all!

You're still here! That's a remarkable feat in itself, judging by the posts I've read where it is suggested you put an end to your misery!

Keep posting.Cos,I'll never take offence..but may well disagree with you!

I read every post and do not block any posters..and no matter whether I agree with you or not..your posts are valid.x

You are over reacting in the extreme.

That sentence is not oppressive BS, its an old saying suggesting that if you only have bad things to say then perhaps you shouldn't say them.

ST may be patting herself on the back for not saying you are depressed or have some other mental malady but that's just avoiding the obvious.

Life, really is about your point of view, we all see different things in the same situation.

Some are positive some, like you are not.

We should never shy away and not talk about the bad things or the things that need changing and I support you in that.

But by the same token it does no good and weaken's your point if you only ever look on the dark side.

You will end just being ignored.

Its also best that you don't acuse most people on the planet of wrong doing based on here say, conjecture and plain old malicious gossip.

Cool down and take a day off, and as the saying goes, take time to smell the flowers.

Probably not that many as the actual saying is:

"If you don't have anything nice to say then you shouldn't say anything.

But that doesn't fit your world view half as well as "positive" I guess.

My DD mum use to say to me when I could not find what I was looking for. "Matthew 7:7"

Like many things, there was a warning or caveat behind that statement..

Thanks ST and I agree...sometimes you have to agree to disagree. We all have our opinions and that is what makes debate interesting. (or not as the case may be) ;)

I was merely alluding by the saying to all those "feel good" Pollyanna sayings " rise above it" and "glass half full" for examples. You know the type of thing. There are so many.
Zooropa instead of arguing about of the glass is half fill or half empty, my view is that I would rather the glass didn't exist at all.

As for bringing more life into existence...
Replication is a senseless, unjustifiable, and ludicrous act simply because it needlessly forces an innocent sentient creature who not so long ago was in a perfect state of unconscious harmony and at one with the cosmic emptiness, to become a useless fleshy puppet and play in the meaningless game of existence; to deal with an absurd biological process of sluggish corporeal deterioration and fulfill a persecutingly tedious cerebral void, while it is also inevitably being exposed until death to an easily avoidable immense amount of unnecessary detrimental experiences and potentially damaging negative stimuli.
Hence why, to impose organic perception onto others, certainly has everything to be rationally considered the most violent, the most abusive, and ultimately, the most atrocious sadistic crime of them all.

Mmmm, a career in romantic novels does not await for you methinks.
