Alaa Al Aswany on "Hardtalk"

Post by newcastle »

Those with access to BBC World might be interested to watch Stephen Sackur interviewing author & journalist Alaa Al Aswany on the "Hardtalk" program. It is repeated throughout today & for a few days thereafter.

I've always enjoyed Aswany's writings although, in this interview, I didn't find he came across with any consistent line either on what he thinks of the last 4 years...or what the future will bring.

Other than that the 'revolution' still has a long way to go.....

There was a good debate moderated by Zeinab Badawi about legalization of drugs last night on BBC too. I don't know if they will repeat it, but it was interesting in light of the conversation that was had on here yesterday.
