Car runs over group of people in Egypt

A video captured by a store’s surveillance camera on Thursday showing a car run over citizens in a narrow street in Egypt has gone viral.

The footage reveals a car speeding in one of the streets of Monia al Nasr in the Dakahlia province, east of Cairo, as it runs over five girls and a young man as they passed through.

Recently, similar incidents have increased in Egypt. Two weeks ago, a young man ran over schoolgirls when he lost control of his car.

How on earth does the driver manage to do that? lets hope the people he ran down have all survived.

Not at all uncommon in Egypt (and elsewhere)...the driver seemed to be going rather fast for a busy narrow street - and somehow lost control of the car. It looks like it hit some kind of ramp and swerved.

The unusual aspect is that it was caught on CCTV.

I also hope those hit were not injured too badly.

Yesterday my friends sister phoned her to say that they had passed the body of a male dead in the center of the road, covered in newspapers outside the large Christian church. The place was swarming with police. Anyone heard what had happened?
