Quite funny as a picture
but quite dangerous for the puppy, it should have a proper chest harness that clips into the seatbelt socket as that would spread the force in the event of a crash.

I don't recall anyone in Luxor/Aswan wearing a belt.

You've obviously never been sitting in a car with Egyptians when approaching a police checkpoint , the ONLY time they are ever worn.

Every time my taxi driver sees the cops he does this. The taxi starts to swerve all over the place because he is sitting on the end of the strap that requires several pulls and maneuvers to free it, oncoming cars dodging his erratic driving. Far more dangerous than not wearing the belt in the first place.
