Am I alone in being concerned that the newly appointed Home Secretary is a 2nd generation immigrant and a (non-practicing) Muslim?
More than any government post I would have preferred this position to be held by a British person with British ancestry and who followed the Established Religion of our country.

Re: New Home Secretary
And who went to a public school ? and alway's wanted to be a politician ?
Play's cricket & rugby ?
A street opposite me in London is named after Dadabhai Naoroji a Liberal MP way back in 1892-1895 and was a Zoroastrian.
He later became Prime Minister of Baroda. So shove that in your pipe.
Comment withheld on racism!.....

I doubt it. No shortage of xenophobes and islamophobes nowadays.Brian Yare wrote:Am I alone in being concerned..........
A devout aherence to the State religion, indeed any religion, is not a quality I would find desirable in a Home Secretary.
Give me a humanist atheist any day.
