The Presidency

Post by carrie »

I have heard that Pres. El Sisi is to introduce a law that forbids members or ex members of the armed services from standing as President in future.
So no more Generals in charge?

......without permission from the military, according to an announcement in the official gazette on Wednesday.

In other words, Sisi is making sure only “approved” military candidates stand for election. Presumably ones with a snowball’s chance ....or, when he deems to retire, a Sisi-clone.
