Watching old movies in Lockdown
One of the benefits of this wretched lockdown - particularly if you’re in Tier 4 with everything shut - is that it gives you, in fact compels you, to do things that you might otherwise have neglected.
Like reading....although I confess to having got into the habit of audiobooks, and using them to aid sleep!
But it also gives you to watch movies....and, with Prime, Netflix, BBC iPlayer etc, there’s plenty of classics you can watch. Movies you may have heard of but, for some reason, never watched.
There was a biography of Anthony Hopkins on TV today, followed by Shadowlands....a beautiful movie based on the later years of the life of C. S.Lewis, with only a few diversions from the accurate history ( Invariably inevitable ).
I’ve long been a fan of Hopkins and look forward to watching some others of his excellent performances...The Remains of the Day, Howard’s End etc.

I loved that movie, last night I found The Square on Youtube.
I lived here during the Mubarak revolution and was glued to the telly but that film was a real eye opener.

Re: Watching old movies in Lockdown
The Square does not seem to be available on Netflix when I do a search - maybe it is not availbale in Egypt on Netflix?

Certainly currently available in UK.Chris wrote: Tue Dec 22, 2020 11:32 am The Square does not seem to be available on Netflix when I do a search - maybe it is not availbale in Egypt on Netflix?
But Netflix does confine its releases at certain times to certain countries so it may not be available in Egypt.
The Egyptian authorities would also not be keen for it to be available in a Egypt!

Now it is downloaded for viewing at our leisure.
