The Autobiography

Post by Who2 »

"To be or not to be' that is the Question ?

I have now been procrastinating for nearly 12 months, it will be 1 year on 1st February since returning
from Luxor, and will probably be another 12 months before returning, 'sorry about that all you 'lotus eaters..

Trying to remember incidents in one's life is not easy, I blame the intake of non 'prescribable pharmaceuticals.
Also, I wonder whether there will be anybody left alive to read it or be bothered to ?

People talking about going on holidays this year or next year, should in my mind be thinking of staying alive first.
I grow herbs on my balcony but, planning for the future have yesterday invested in a growing room, lights et al.
For those “burritos verdes,” if you get my drift!

The ignorance abroad amongst the general population about any pandemic viruses does not surprise me.
Everybody here want schools to reopen, Why ? ffs..Missing one year or even more will not affect us or them one iota.
As not attending university falls into the same category, 2 World Wars proved that!

My advice to one and all, 'treat this pandemic as was done last Feb & March.
It's going to get a lot worse, 2 weeks ago I said to my neighbour "the death toll will be over 100,000 within a fortnight!
Seems like I might be a couple of days out.

Bit of a rant really, but loved Keefy's recent post on another daft english woman falling for the old 'smooth line
"I lub you, I don't really want your money"

Anyhow it's back to work and a beer..... 8)

Ps: The soliloquy is essentially all about life and death:
"To be or not to be" means "To live or not to live" (or "To live or to die").
It's Your choice, 'Be Lucky...Oh! and 'Be Safe...

You need to have a word with James Fox.

He managed to coax an autobiography out of Keith Richards. Akin to rescuing the data from a computer hard disc that’s been cremated.

Good luck with the attic crop! Much safer than the balcony.

I should know. In Ibiza my cats p*ssed on them....

Not a couple of days, but a couple of weeks. The reality is that number was actually reached probably at around the time you were discussing it with your neighbour.

BBC showed a clip a little while ago of Chris Whitty (think it was him - I keep mixing up the 3 regular experts that we've seen on our screens so often) speaking last March, when he said that if the death toll reached 20,000 it would be a good number. (Sorry I can't give the exact quote but he was basically expecting the death toll to reach that number and hoped it wouldn't go higher.) At the same time that Chris Whitty's statement was broadcast in one of the news programmes, another person was interviewed - I think he was from the Office for National Statistics. He said he expected the death toll would be in excess of 40,000. I chose to believe the chap from the ONS and, although his figure was way below what has been announced today, during that period when many were anticipating it to be more or less over by the summer it seemed realistic.

"Fear not all is not lost...trust me I'm a Dr...(sort of)

The 'scales fell from mine eyes this afternoon! I had a revelation I've had a few!
Anyhow, I have now found the 'inspiration or it, has found me.
To continue with it, the novel that is, whether anybody but me ever reads it.

I think Iv'e covered most of my bases. I have a working computer, a reputable editor a popular & successful publisher.
And quite a few pals that write books, (12 at the last count) that I can contact them asking for tips and anecdotes.
They all know that they will be getting a mention in it, all in varying amounts according to 'one's personal input,
if not, 'I can blackmail most of them.
My list starts at Irvine Welsh through Lorraine Evans to people like Louis Theroux or his dad Paul even McNabb
won't hide..

My question to most of them will be:
" How the hell do you concentrate doing this without the help of legal or illegal inducements "
None of my mates have written their autobiographies, except for 'Dodgy Dave Courtney he's done 6 and he's
only Nick's age.
Anyhow must dash the percolator is percolating along with a dash of Tia Maria... 8)
Ps: Oh!.... 'be lucky!

A Dr writes.........
Cannabis sativa has been proposed to modulate gene expression and inflammation and is under investigation for several potential therapeutic applications against autoinflammatory diseases and cancer. Here, we hypothesized that the extracts of novel C. sativa cultivars may be used to downregulate the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines and pathways involved in inflammation and fibrosis.

So there you have it, 'I rest my case...... 8)

But, as you know, the old fogies in Parliament think that a puff on a joint today will see you mainlining heroin tomorrow.....so don’t hold out much hope for legalisation, except for very restricted medical use.

It also addles your brain and makes you forget things.

For example David Cameron has forgotten he was nearly chucked out of Eton for smoking cannabis 😂

I have decided to turn the 'autobiography into a novel.
Cleverly entitled 'About a Boy' 2, perhaps...

Now us novelists, are having a hard time concentrating..
I've written to a few mates that write for a living.
“I'm too busy this year, Irvine. “Do a bit each day, Maria. “focus...Arnott. “I'm teaching the kids...Twiggers.
"Somebody else writes them. Andy Capp.
'Cheers mates..

Came across this today: Writer's blockdown Alison Flood Guardian Review.
https://www.theguardian.com/books/2021/ ... g-to-write

So,... 'I'm now a 'Novelist not an autobiographist if that word exists, is does now..
I did write 2 small books in prison once. 'Surviving Prison. & Surviving Prison 2 (with etchings).... 8)

Ps: My cooking skills and budgeting for one has hit the highs..
And, the walk down to the sparsely populated Clerkenwell Waitrose's is also my exercise.
Pss: I might not take up 'smart phones and stay in the 20th century...

P*ss: Next to Waitrose's is a Tesco's for Clerkenwell's poor people..covid carriers that lot..

Addendum: Michael Fagan was born in Clerkenwell, London, on 8 August 1948, the son of Ivy and Michael Fagan. His father was a steel erector and a "champion safe-breaker."

Probably better to write the autobiography and call it a novel, :tk .. Save all the lawsuits, and keep the Rozzers from your door...... 8)

All characters and events portrayed in this autobiography "novel" are fiction and any resemblance to any real characters and events are purely coincidental.. ;)
