Politics and Religion...2022.
Well what with another worldwide pandemic, a couple of Commies wanting to rule the world, quite a few serious 'nutters running different countries, then that's not counting all the religious side of things.
So, we are fighting wars on all fronts these days folks, 'What else could possibly go wrong ?

Meh, it's all over now.
But things won't be the same, covid provided the ideal catalyst for some changes.
But it's us peasants that's going to have to pay for all that PPE, vaccines and the wages for a third of the working population to sit on thier arse for 18 months.
So now cast your eyes away from covid and let's see what that Putin is up to now.
Of course, the Ukrainian situation is far more complex than the good old news will admit to.
Here is the news brought to you from the very bowels of hell. Keeping people in the lower vibratory planes.

I find it hard to believe that Putin will actually invade Ukraine. What would he gain by doing so?So now cast your eyes away from covid and let's see what that Putin is up to now.
The USA, Nato , UK and EU have made it clear there would be an economic price to pay and all the indications are the the Russian population doesn’t have any appetite for it.
I doubt Putin is going to upset his new best friend in Beijing by starting a war during the winter Olympics.
Equally, it’s not easy to see how the current impasse will end. My guess would be a gradual pull back of both sides , accompanied by rhetoric to make it apparent to the population of each side that “ they’ve won”

Exactly like that! I well remember Nasser’s victory broadcast.
Whoever said “You can’t fool all of the people all of the time” was clearly far off the mark.
Egypt managed to pull it off again with their so-called victory in the Yom Kippur War

Re: Politics and Religion...2022.
You are correct John, the Ukrainian situation is very complex to say the least, and people should look very carefully with an open mind. In recent weeks N.A.T.O. has been blockading the Russian fleet not just in the Black Sea, but also in the Baltic.John Landon wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 2:21 pm

Of course, the Ukrainian situation is far more complex than the good old news will admit to.
The E.U. has been extending its authority throughout Eastern Europe for years to those poor countries with promises of great wealth if they join the 'club', where even today the horse and cart is the main means of transport for the average Joe. The reason Russia is putting up a stand is because Ukraine is in the 'back yard' of Russian's Black Sea main military bases.
It is obvious that once the E.U. takes over Ukraine, N.A.T.O. will deposit its missiles directly opposite the Russian naval bases. This is almost like Russia promising every person on the Isle of Wight £1,000,000 to vote for the Communist Party, then Russia depositing missiles there on its north shore opposite Portsmouth along the Solent.
The E.U.'s policy is to build a buffer zone between the wealthy West and the poor East, but is the West prepared to put up the required military support ? The U.K. along with U.S.A. and a few other countries have sent military hardware and troops, but the richest country in Europe, Germany, sent 5,000 military helmets,........even the president of the Ukraine publicly asked "Is this a joke".
Australia, U.K.,and the U.S.,(A.U.K.U.S.) know there is an upcoming serious problem coming soon in the Pacific, Japan is a spent force, the U.S. State of California is the fifth richest country in the world, and China will watch the Ukraine situation very carefully to choose whether the time is right to invade Taiwan, which history shows, it's there's by right.
We are living in strange times, let's hope for the best.

To Quote: A disbarred Dr: 'What else could possibly go wrong ?
Many tings....but one thing they got right was.....
The bus conductors son Sadik Khan, our mayor a nice little guy.
Tactically booted her out, just before Pretty could advert it..
When our Met was really, really corrupt back in the 60's, soho sleaze, pornoghrapgy and street walkers they bought
in an upstanding mancunian copper Robert Mark.
He did his best to cut down the corruption and being 'on the square (masonic) as all wanna be coppers have to be,
except for our ex CC of the Met Cressida she's a woman, a midget and a lesbian..
all things that made her 'rank and file love her..
Police are the Police they are here to "protect and serve".
You need tough people to police us, make no mistake there is a lot of right nutters out there.
There's good and bad especially amongst coppers, their suicide and divorce rate tops out!
It's not an easy life being a copper....
"I dare say no more for that could be a knock on me door !.......
Who do you think Boris' choice of her Maj's the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis will be...?

Really?? Then better head for the nearest nuclear shelterIn recent weeks N.A.T.O. has been blockading the Russian fleet not just in the Black Sea, but also in the Baltic
More seriously, Russia has never been happy with the current regime in Kiev …whom they regard as a Western puppet ( unlike its predecessor, who was their puppet )
They are pressuring Ukraine to honour the Minsk Agreement….and, with Kiev dragging its feet, it wouldn’t be too difficult for them to engineer a pretext to justify an invasion of some kind…possibly in the East in support of a false- flag attack on the semi- autonomous regions.
Whether they will…nobody knows. I find the disconnect between what USA and several of its allies are saying, and the rather laid back attitude of the Kiev government, puzzling.

Re: Politics and Religion...2022.
The Ukraine has loyaties to different countries.
Therein lies another problem for both Russia and NATO.
But it is interesting that there have been several Black Sea incidents over the last 7 years.
The first I found hard to believe at first, involving the Donald Cook.
After that, I could find it hard to believe that the good old US of A would directly engage Russia in any form of conflict, so would indeed try to involve thier Atlantic treaty puppets to do that dirty work for them.
But that is not going to happen.
The best outcome is another stalemate and the news story fizzles out and another story grabs the headlines...
I suppose people should really fix thier eyes on these high energy prices and demand their governments do something about that. Especially at this time of year.
Or the raging inflation, which is far higher than is being published, especially if you are buying everyday items, and not the useless crap that the retail price index is based on that magically determines that inflation is at 5%.
Smoke and mirrors, a load of hot air and rhetoric. That's government and the news for you.
Born to rule, or born to fool. That is the question.

I also forgot to mention that after flight MH370 went "missing", it became obvious that another incident involving Malaysia airlines would need to take place.. and just like that, the good old ruskies get the blame for downing MH17 close to the Ukraine Russia border and the black sea..

Re: Politics and Religion...2022.
Well…now we know. Russia is, in effect, annexing two eastern provinces of Ukraine….just as they did Crimea and part of Georgia. Will Ukraine resist with force?
More seriously, Russia has never been happy with the current regime in Kiev …whom they regard as a Western puppet ( unlike its predecessor, who was their puppet )
They are pressuring Ukraine to honour the Minsk Agreement….and, with Kiev dragging its feet, it wouldn’t be too difficult for them to engineer a pretext to justify an invasion of some kind…possibly in the East in support of a false- flag attack on the semi- autonomous regions.

They will pay a heavy price, in lives, if they do…against vastly superior Russian forces.
Will the West cone to their assistance….and commence a pan-European war? They’ve already ruled that out.
So ….sanctions. Probably on some kind of ratchet. If they think this’ll make Russia reverse its actions in East Ukraine, they’re living in cloud cuckoo land.
The ineffectiveness of the UN , NATO and western democracy generally will be laid bare for all to see.
And the Chinese must think Christmas has come really early this year I wasn’t privy to Putin’s conversation with Li Keqian at the winter olympics but I imagine it went along the following lines :
“ Please, Vladimir, me ‘ol mate, lay off Ukraine until the Olympics have finished. Then…do what you want. We might have to condemn your action at the UN…but we’ll veto any significant resolution of the Security Council. And, don’t worry about any sanctions imposed by West. We’ll cover your back…take any oil and gas you have, process your financial transactions etc etc.”

Re: Politics and Religion...2022.
As expected, Boris has come out with a load of sanctions that must have Putin rolling around….laughing!
Freeze the assets of 3 oligarchs no one has heard of….and sanctions on 5 equally obscure Russian banks.
What next? Ban the import of Russian dolls? Destroy all library copies of War and Peace? Refuse to play any Tchaikovsky at this year’s Proms?
