A question for our friends in Luxor.
Our French district nurse has asked whether we can obtain camel wool in Luxor for her to use in knitting as she wants to make really warm socks. I had shown her my camel wool scarf which I got out in one of the oases and she thinks it would be perfect.
We will be back in Luxor in about 2 weeks so some ideas would be most helpful.
Thanks in advance

Re: Shopping request
One would suggest it would be easier to visit one of the 48 Zoos in the UK or the 21 zoos in France.
A quick chat with the cammelear keepers, a bit of 'baksheesh and 'bob's your uncle' simples..
Best thing I discovered was the bedu's woolen slippers they wear at nighttime so thick the sand
cannot penetrate and their warm. Oh! and cheap, 'mind you the cost to Dakhla could be a bit prohibitive.
Anyhow good luck let us know the result, Klaus up at sheik ali's has a couple..
Ps: Just opened Sim's xmas presents, bless one a wooden back scrubber ...xxx
Pss: Lovely creatures camels but can sometimes be a bit grumpy....

A thought came over me whilst in the kitchen....dong!
The store owners in that 'mickey-mouse souk in El Gouna come from Luxor they might
know one from Dakhla, worth a try plus they all speak good english and aren't daft....
Ps: Anyhow "back to my port and stilton soup creation"........ "time and tides and all that!
Oh! "and it would be fun to ride in a one horse open sleigh jingle bells........

Re: Shopping request
Thanks for the suggestions. My scarf was purchased at the Badawiya hotel in Dakla. I'm thinking maybe the Sandouk shop on the ramla. The camels on the farm by our place would provide loads of wool each year when they had their annual "grooming".
