The Clerkenwell Design Week..

Post by Who2 »

It's only 3 days, being totally honest.
££££££ millions spent all over the place...

We have been the home of architects for years around here, then we had the .com buzz and
then Alex McQueen and the BritArt pack. Now it's funky design in all areas....

Shame it rained the 1st 2 days. Today ? not so bad, yesterday didn't stop the various bar owners moaning...

So went walkabouts, access all areas pass..ha!
Down under the old prison they have done wonders with it, but still not fully excavated, we used to have 200 people
partying down there, amazing..'no toilets in those days...

Saturday sunny Saturday in the market.
Quite a few parties held last night so I hear, Sim got in at 2,30am.

Sitting reading the i, Amy sat down (she's one of our barman's Baby Reindeer)
Amy is making a film, she said she danced with Sim sometime the previous night.

I'm still trying to read my paper, she keeps talking...
"That's Chalayan Hussein and his boyfriend, 2 tables down"
I perk up "really where's he live then, local ?..

Amy is looking for someone to finance her film lol...
Me: Dexter Fletcher walks down the market most days, he's rich try him!

I love our market.. 8)

Sitting outside CK today chatting to Archie waiter, struggling actor, dancer, Simon 'optician popped by stating,
"Jeremy Corbin's having coffee outside Brikki"

Later as he passes us by I call out "you'll walk it Jeremy" good luck!
Bu**er me he only comes over shakes our hands and said "it's never that easy"

I wonder why he was off his patch down in Emily's south islington constituency as they rudely label us.
Archie said "shame we didn't get a selfie, would have been a scream"....

Ps: They even tried to relocate our Angel of Clerkenwell, just round the corner up to Islington Green.
"bloody cheek, we soon stopped that idea!

This is fun, our barman dancer Archie went up for this advert last month,
he didn't get it be we still take the p*ss big time..About just how good their dancer was.

I watched the filming for 2 days, great fun! it actually rained on the 1st day but having watched it
I noticed I was not in shot and, all the shop fronts names were blanked out..lol.. 8)

Ps: The dancer got £3k for that...'so Archie grumbles about!
Pss: Upon closer inspection I am sitting at the table on the bottom right of the beginning shot,
they blackened me out the b*stards...such is life...
