The last Xmas Tour gig of Alabama 3, Sim and myself got dolled up,Uberd' it to The Bull & Gate another old huge ex music venue full of aging fans, many I have known for years..
Big Nose was on top form entertaining us drinking fans, had a long chat with Irvine who loves Egypt but is off to Miami, he has a new book coming out.
So off we all troop 10 yrds to the Forum all very err organised these days, waiting and chatting for our AAA passes.
It's another O2 venue, but exactly the same interior as I remember. We all hit the VIP bar,
I end up chatting to Nick van Gelder, of Ozric Tentacles & Jamiroquai.
Then up to the next AA level, a young Indian said "So, when you going back to Egypt then ?
I never even recognised an ex Tardis employee of mine, Raj, well it was over 20 years ago.
I ended up even higher in the AAA section....
Good set, but forgot the sound quality got worse the higher one goes, Sim went to the after party
whist I uber'd it home....
Ps: So, Nick and I will be out on the West Bank soon, 'inshaala'
