Ooh, if they only would grow it for animal food you could find it here. No luck so far. I found something about rutabagas on Wadi Food web pages but I guess it's Egyptian style (?) they don't answer emails.

Yes rutabaga is of Scandinavian origin. Turnip casserole was eaten before rutabaga came so I guess I have to use Egyptian turnip instead. It is just boring white colour, turnips (and rutabagas) we have in Finland is light yellow and gives nice colour.

I think for next year I have to try and grow my own rutabagas for Christmas!
