The answer to the squirrel raiders is -I just feed them too!! There is a great site called "ark" to get bulk deliveries of bird/squirrel food, they like monkey nuts hazelnuts and as a treat walnuts! We have one with a ? injured /deformed tail that hops along, they are fun to watch with the nuts, and tend to leave the bird feeders alone
