For someone who insists on using such abbreviations it is somewhat ironic that you are the one to ask what one stands for. It just goes to prove my point, that no matter how common the usage...the full version should be used to establish context.

I dont normally give information on IP addresses, but I feel I need to on this occasions due to the fact that the IP is pointing to a regular member who posts on here (I doubt it is them though), they might be using public internet such as a internet shop or hotel for example so it is showing that they have posted from the IP that Stepping Stone is using. This is TE-DATA in Egypt.

What's the chance of someone who lives in Luxor and knows everyone's full names using an internet cafe or hotel internet, and there be another member, who also lives here, also uses the same internet cafe? Unless one of them WORKS in a hotel and the other STAYS there? Most people have internet at home these days.

And even if someone seems like they wouldn't do something, wouldn't you also think that the type of person who is most likely to resort to such strange tactics is someone who would feel uncomfortable doing it under their everyday persona?

Unless you see it going on sequentially, then maybe just maybe the IP address got reused by one of their neighbors who is also on TE-Data, since there is probably a pool of IP addresses used in a certain neighborhood that gets reused for different customers.

They would have to be pretty technically dumb though as it is really easy to reset your IP address and not get caught doing this. That alone I think would eliminate a few.

Of course they have the info, but what I have never understood is why such people are allowed to renew their tourist visas anyway. Any insights into that?

I know lots of personnel information concerning folk living her. Why? Because a lot of expats like to talk, thinking that the person they are speaking to are trustworthy enough not to tell it to others. My mouth remains clamped as tight as a clam shell with what I know. But eventually it begins to circulate by people with loose lips. I could do a similar write up to your last one, indicating that I received it from my very close friend in the department of b******t, and 99% of the members reading it would believe it to be true. In your case I doubt very much that you have the personal ear to any of the security departments personnel here. And do not forget, because they are good at their job, they may not be that happy in you suggesting that you know, and publicly hand out, their findings or future intent. They [the ones in charge] would not be interested in Who2's health, and probably wouldn't have a clue as to the reasons he had left for his holiday. Carrie being a gossip? Do you really think that they keep a special file marked ''women gossips living in Luxor?'' We have all heard these stories but you have to take them with a pinch of salt, no one knows if they are true or not, due to the majority of them being born of gossip. I don't know where you get your information from, but the majority of people know these stories and the majority ignore them. The only truth really comes from the horses mouth. I don't know if you have a vendetta or not against ex pats, but to print these stories may not be the answer, I don't think people on the forum will take a great deal of notice if they are genuine people, but it inflames people and prolongs the stories born of gossip. Maybe that what is wanted I don't know. I suppose these people mentioned so far will feel incensed and will already be taking some sort of action.

At the end of the day what has been written about these people only makes reading, and the majority will not really care. Not everyone knows everyone although many think they do.

I have had many things said about myself, but don't care much they do not really effect my life just give food for others, only one post has directly effected me and my family, and like one poster says while they are talking about me they are leaving others alone. the other fact is I don't really know the people that have been mentioned and therefore the (Outing) if you want to call it that is of no us to me. in fact I only know one of the names mentioned to talk to and that person never come across like the person described. So the information is of little interest to myself.


Is there a reason for you naming and writing about these people, is it a vendetta or is it a game to inflame people. Lets hope that Keefy does not tell the forum who you are or your intentions.

Regarding work permits, is it not up to to the individual to apply for the permit, I know there has been a tightening up of people working, but I think that has now been sorted out and the people that were doing this act have now stopped.

Remember when you come to Egypt you have to satisfy a number of rules, ie been able to support yourself etc etc, so I would think there would only have been a handful of people working without permits. I certainly have not heard of anyone being caught or punished through this act, but then again I don't get out too much, and am happy in not doing so.
