It worked for me :up I haven't a clue what you just said :ni:
I think he means "Kiss my a*se"...although MT's transcription of the Arabic is a bit dodgy. "Teezak " is "your a'se"

If you want to be rude and obnoxious to an Egyptian...it's "Buss teezi"

I suspected as much, :urm: a bit like the Gaelic phrase "póg mo thóin (Pogue Mahone) which means the same thing, “kiss my arse” :D

Must have been lucky - I find them on the whole to be the salt of the earth.

I've just been re-reading a post I made in January of this year. (Trying to decide to respond to another with a whole new post or whether to copy and paste something I'd already written on the same topic.) In doing so, I came across this which I wrote and I think well fits this topic.

'What struck me about the people I came into contact with, either casually or those I knew well and spent time with, was their eternal optimism - something they would rather live by than depression.'

I think like members of your family you can say what you want about them but let anyone else say the same and you're up in arms. Egyptians do have faults like other nationalities they do get on my pip sometimes and those of us who enjoy their generosity, sense of humour, eternal optimism feel we can have a little dig now and again without any malice.
