Re: Coincidence
As the thread is about ‘Coincidence’ then it is no coincidence that MT has managed to insert his own brand of whingeing post within this thread, can we get back to the topic please?

Re: Coincidence
So where do they celebrate Christmas now Hepzi? The last Christmas bash I attended was at the then Agricultural Club. The following year they did not repeat it. Just to let you know I purchased 6 Kopersburg at the beginning of the month, they are still in the fridge.

As I have no idea who the 'they' are that you refer to, I cannot possibly answer your question.
I can tell you where I celebrated Christmas last year. I celebrated it in Luxor, Egypt. I saw in the New Year in Alexandria, Egypt and there was a lot of celebrating going on then too. I certainly didn't experience anything to complain about and would happily repeat.
As for the Kopesburg, perhaps it just doesn't go well with the imitation Irish Cream.
Re: Back on Topic - Coincidentally, I was reminded of my Luxor Christmas Celebrations when searching for other photographs last night and found some of the family that I spent last Christmas Day with.

Re: Coincidence
Of course Christmas is celebrated in Luxor - twice over! The Coptic Christians making their festivities a little later than the other Christians.
Any excuse for partying seems to be a good rule wherever you are. Let's celebrate together.

Re: Coincidence
Now folks let's be fair I didn't notice any tribute bands visiting Luxor last Christmas, no drunken behavior in the street, a distinct lack of previously melted chocky biscuits and tins of sweets.
What there was though was midnight mass at the local catholic church, celebration meals held in the local restaurants, lets hope for more of the same this year.

Re: Coincidence
Coincidence well is it a coincidence that a certain posters post seems to be repeated ad infinitum. I still can't work out why this obsession with Luxor continues when having moved to not just a new location but a new country, where all the alcohol required seems readily available, the whining continues. There again some people are never happy unless they are unhappy, perhaps SC would be a better avatar ...Serial Complainant.

Re: Coincidence
My sentiments exactly! Makes me wonder if all the fervid declarations of delight and happiness are a tad overstated? He does it for one simple reason, to get a reaction. Just using these few words has jolted his jolly's bin.

Re: Coincidence
I could come up with a more appropriate second part of a new name and its not Tourist, although it does start with a letter T and ends with one (clue 4 letters)Mad Dilys wrote:He could keep his initials and be Moaning Tourist?

Believe me I thought of it Horus, but thought I might get rebuked for being unkind.

Re: Coincidence
I know the Ork's so know what you mean, the posts are only what I would expect from Luxor Tourists and people so bored they have nothing better to do but revert back to insulting others. I do not hink people in Luxor have celebrated Christmas for so long now is because they are either totally depressed, or stuck in such a deep rut they cannot get out of it. This week we welcomed another couple from Egypt, that were fed up of a lifestyle with no structure.
Can I just remind you I am not a tourist in Luxor anymore and never will be again even if for a 7 day break or a long weekend. I am too busy enjoying myself and the music, not all tribute music either. Now going for my daily walk and then to pick up my Halloween Party Costume.
Christmas Eve Buffet for us booked with entertainment
Christmas Dinner for us booked from 1.00pm until 7.00pm with entertainment
New Years Eve Dinner/Dance Booked with entertainment
New Years Eve Breakfast booked.
Busy Festive time for us this year, at last, and looking forward to it....
In between 2 days sailing out of Latchi
Incidentally I don't whinge, that's you forum members branding me, I just tell it like it really is with no frills and no cover ups, I do not believe in cover ups or telling people a load of S---e, to brand a place as being spectacular when its far from it. Unlike others I would not get the opportunity to brand people by name either, it would either get locked or I would get a warning, so cannot be bothered, plus I do not want to lower myself in doing so. I learned by experience.
